I’m possibly being a bit dumb and missing something obvious here, but I’m having a syncing problem here. When I add a file to the dropbox app on my iphone, I can see that the file namd appears in the dropbox app on my mac, but it doesn’t fully sync. Instead a small icon of a cloud appears, which I have to click on in order for the file to sync. Previously, I never had to do that and files would just automatically sync. Is there something I can do to activate auto-sync and to stop having to click the little cloud icon to make it happen for every file?
Hey @dwtcd, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community today!
This is actually how new files sync to your computer by default, but you can change this setting in your Dropbox preferences.
If you go to the preferences and then to the "sync" tab, you should see an option to change how new files sync to your computer by default.
Let me know how it goes.

I find the changes annoying, although I understand Dropbox's desire to avoid the "my Dropbox is full!" problem. For others who are trying to fix this; the only way I could make it work on my Macbook was to select the Dropbox folder *in Finder*. Then you'll see the little icons (either a checkmark for a file that is available offline, or a cloud symbol for files that aren't). You can right-click a file or folder to get a dropdown menu, and select "Make available offline". Then the folder or file syncs.
