Re: Dropbox doesn't sync

My Dropbox desktop app doesn't sync

I installed Dropbox on Windows 11.
It hasn't synchronized files from the PC to the server for a month.
Also, if I upload directly to folders on Dropbox.com, the files don't automatically download to my PC.
I also downloaded the latest version of Dropbox but the problem didn't go away.
How can I solve?

I finally solved.
In a folder shared with me, I had files locally that no longer existed on Dropbox.
Since I have read-only permissions on this folder, Dropbox was unable to complete the synchronization and remained blocked.

I then deleted the folder and now everything works.

Hey @igiuscal, thanks for letting us know about this and let's get right to it.

The first thing you need to check is the sync status of the Dropbox app.

To do this, hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.

Do you see any error messages there?

Let me know and we'll go from there.

Dropbox is in this state every day and never ends the synchronization

Does syncing appear to be stuck on this specific number of files? Or is it syncing, just very slowly?

If it's completely stuck, can you try these steps, to see if they help?

I followed the instructions of the link, but nothing has changed.

Dropbox is always stuck.

I see, thanks for trying!

Can you try reinstalling the app, without uninstalling it and let me know how that goes?

It has been the first thing I've done but nothing has changed.

Hi @igiuscal, sorry to jump in here!

If you hover over your little Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi, can you let me know the version of the app that you see there?

Also, can you click on your avatar in the app's preferences and then on the 'View sync issues' option? Are there any files listed there?
