My DB stopped syncing due to exceeded 2GB basic plan. I have extra 8GB bonus space. Why stop sync?

My DB stopped syncing due to exceeded 2GB basic plan. I have extra 8GB bonus space. Why stop syncing even though I still have plenty of space available? 

My current storage statistic:
Dropbox Basic
3.34 GB of 10 GB used
  • Those notifications are from 2022, not 2023, so they don't apply. 

     

    If your account was overquota, there would be a red banner at the top of the screen saying so.

    Hi skyip, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

     

    The Dropbox desktop application shouldn't stop syncing if you are underquota. 

     

    Are you seeing this on the Dropbox site or the Dropbox desktop application? Could you attach a screenshot showing this message you're seeing?

     

    This will help me to assist further!
