How to upload files to group folders without using personal storage

How to upload files to group folders without using personal storage

I'm part of a group folder and uploading backup files to that auto syncs with my personal storage.  I can now no longer upload backups but still have more to go. Is there a way to upload files and not have them sync to my account and take up space?

Hey @JaMaws, thanks for posting your question to our Community.

If you'd like to upload files to someone else's Dropbox account, without them taking up space in yours, you can use file requests.

The person who shared the folder with you, can send you a file request instead and you can upload the files there.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any questions!
