How can I create a read-only link to a folder?
The instructions at https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-and-share-link are unclear. When I attempt to create a link to a folder where I have access exclusively, the only option available is to copy link, and it says in the window where the link is given that the folder I am granting access to will have editing access. I did this and can confirm I was able to add the folder to another dropbox and be able to add files to it.
Hey mauricev, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community.
We appreciate your feedback about this help center article.
When you hover over a file on our website, next to the "copy link" button, you should also see a share button (rectangle with an up arrow).
That's the button you need to click and then you should be able to create your view-only link, by following the rest of the steps in the article.
Let me know how it goes.
