GoodNotes 5 backup
I have been backing up my GoodNotes files to dropbox for years. It was a simple matter of selecting backup data on GoodNotes (iPad Pro) and then indicating which folder in Dropbox to sync the data. ...

...Hi Rick19744,
Send a warn to the supplier of your application, that emits above message. The Dropbox API support no more than 150MB content transfer on one step. For bigger files, they have to be transmitted in sessions, for every file on steps transferring no more than 150MB each. For a 450MB file, least 3 steps have to be used for upload, for example. You can't do anything yourself, but ask the supplier to update its software. As an alternative you can use the Dropbox application for upload bigger files, as suggested, or use a web session.
Hope this clarifies matter.

Thanks for the reply. It is the backup using the Dropbox app that I need help understanding. Not sure how to do that using my iPad.

Hi Rick19744,
Dropbox backup feature (if you are interested in it) isn't available on mobile devices at all (as far as I know). All other files (either regular file or other applications backups or other types) are just uploaded to Dropbox using Dropbox application or, if particular application embeds Dropbox API, application you are using can connect directly to there. According your description in the OP, seems you are mixing both ways for upload (where API access is partially implemented, seems according received message) and can't make distinction between them - somehting wich confuses you.
Hope this adds additional clarity.

Confusing me is definitely accurate. I am spoiled with an IT group at the office, so when I need help, they handle it.
This, however, is personal so I am on my own.
I will continue to try and work through this.
Thanks for your time.
