Hey kkb7- sorry to jump in here, but it sounds like you've indeed enabled the automatic camera uploads feature at some point in the past.
Could you navigate to the mobile app's Account tab and check your camera uploads settings there?
Apart from that, you may also want to try these steps as well.

Hi Walter,
I checked and, indeed, on my app "camera uploads" was on. I turned it off. I haven't had a chance to see if now all the albums will back up. When I check the system later, I'll see. If they're there or not, I'll check back in and let you know. Thanks for the tip. I'm sure when I turned that on I thought it meant the "camera" on the phone which would be all encompassing.
