Re: iPhone app shows "Shared Link" alert every time

iPhone app shows "Shared Link" alert for a file that has been deleted long ago

Hello Support,

Every time I open your iPhone app, a pop-up appears informing that I have a shared link to a file that was deleted long time ago.  The issue seems to be exactly the same as detailed here:  https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Apps-and-Installations/iPhone-app-shows-quot-Shared-Link-quot-alert-...  Just like that user, I have removed the app and rebooted the iPhone but to no avail.  Could you please post instructions here on how to rectify the issue?

In my case, the app is running on iPhone 8 w/ iOS 16.7.8

Thank you.

Hi, I see you tried every possible solution mentioned in the article.

But did you try turning notifications off and then on again? This can sometimes reset any stuck notifications.

You can do that through the iPhone general settings. Find Dropbox, tap on it, and then select Notifications.

Also, in the Dropbox application, look for any notifications or alerts and review them. Clear any persistent notifications related to the deleted file.

Hi maher1982, thank you for the suggestions, but they did not solve the issue. Turning notifications off and on on the iPhone for the app didn't work, and there were no notifications/alerts in the Dropbox app related to the file in question or any other alerts.

Separately, I have cleared the cache but that also didn't help. The same goes for the hard reset for the app. It seems to be an issue on the Dropbox side.

The app version is 380.3.2. The plan is Dropbox basic with 3 devices connected (1 PC + 2 iPhones). The issue occurs on both iPhones.
