Won't stop indexing on Mac
I installed the mac dropbox update and the application began indexing my files. It has now been stuck for the last few days. I can only access some files. Many are now only available through dropbox....

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your patience while we investigated. We have confirmed that the problem with resyncing has been resolved with macOS Sonoma 14.1. Users should not experience a resync when upgrading to 14.1.
Upgrading to 14.1 will prevent resyncing, but it will not resolve this issue for users who have already become 'stuck' on the resync upon upgrading to 14.0. We can help, but we're asking that users contact support for individual assistance.
Regards,
Ben

Hi all,
I've fixed the issue. I restarted my computer and let dropbox start indexing again. Then I used the dropbox icon in my quick access bar to sign out of dropbox completely. Waited a little and then restarted my dropbox by signing in again. This began a whole other round of updates for all my files, but once finished, the dropbox issue is gone. I can now access all my files the way I did before. I did have to reissue it permission (through system settings) to allow it to access and make changes to HD.
Hope this helps someone,

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this fix!! After fighting with the forever loop of indexing for the past 23 days, I came across your comment, signed out and back in again and problem fixed! Thank you SO MUCH.
