I get stuck while logging into the desktop app via the website (possibly due to corporate policies)

Hello everyone and thanks for the help.

I was able to install Dropbox on my new business laptop. To log in, I am redirected to the Dropbox website to log in. After that it says "login sucessfull" you have to click on the blue button to get back to the Dropbox app.

And this is the moment of failure: clicking the button has no effect. (tested with Edge and Chrome on Win10Pro).

Is there another way to log in to the app than via the website?

Greetings,

Pubert

Hey @Pubert! Welcome to our forum.

Can you send me a screenshot of where exactly the login process keeps failing?

Also, since I understand from the title this may be due to company security policies, have you already checked with your IT department if there’s something blocking you from signing in successfully?

Otherwise, you can try using our “Connect a Computer” feature and see if you can log in to the desktop app by using your mobile device.

Let me know how this goes.

Sure.

My IT department allowed to reach out to dropbox.com (and I can access my data via browser).

Maybe there is a script behind the button which does not work for me. (On my private hardware everything works fine).

Is there an alternative way to insert my credentials to get the app working?

##Issue solved##

The hint connecting my computer via the mobile app did the job.

Thank you for the information provided.
