This morning Dropbox lost connection with my existing download location on an external drive and required me to redownload the app. Following this, it created a new, empty Dropbox folder in my Mac user folder. How do I get it to reconnect and sync with the folder hit had been syncing to?
Hi @chrispaulis, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
In order to reconnect to your pre-existing Dropbox folder on an external drive, you need to perform an advanced reinstallation, and follow step 8 to select the location.
Make sure to pick the parent folder above the Dropbox folder in order for it to be detected correctly.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
