Files won't open - what can I do?

With the exception of 2 of my picture files, I am unable to open any of them. Why can't I access my pictures. I am very, very upset about this and need a solution. Please help!!! I never deleted these files, I just get the msg "cannot open thumbnail"

You need to provide more information about what you're doing, Lisa. Are you opening the files from the Dropbox folder on your computer, or through the Dropbox website? Do you have the proper program installed to open these files? Are you getting any error messages? Have the file extensions changed on the files? etc. The more information that you can provide, the better the chances are that we'll be able to help.

Sorry. I have this issue on all my devices: An Acer Aspire 8.1 Notebook, a Samsung Galaxy Android 4G phone, & a Samsung Galaxy 8.1 Tablet. I'd say it's a web interface. I originally downloaded Dropbox on my old tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Any more info you need, just ask. I want to really solve this problem ASAP.

One more thing, this is important. I recently purchased my Acer notebook & set it all up (just last week).

If the web site isnt showing you previews of your pictures, then the files are likely been modified by something, could be a virus or that ransom ware that encrypts all your files.

How can I deal with this? Is there some program you can use to get them back? Or a way to report this?

Contact www.dropbox.com\support and ask for a rollback to a time when you know the pictures were OK.
    .
But if you dont address first what changed them then it will likely just do it again.

I have files which I have previously been able to access.  Now, all of a sudden, I cannot open them.  I am clicking on them but nothing is opening.  Any ideas?!
