As  multiple other users have already reported over the last couple years, I am seeing many of these error events in my Windows 10 Event Viewer, all coming from the DbxSvc (Dropbox service) event source.

Can you all please fix your desktop client software to stop spamming my event logs with these errors?  This issue has dragged on far, far too long already.  Either stop emitting these errors, or fix the underlying problem.

Thank you.

Hey @RBurn2024 - thanks for the nudge here. Would it be OK if we sent you an email to investigate further?

This error DbxSvc EventID - 281 (CertFindCertificateInStore failed with: (-2146885628) Cannot find object or property. Is causing a kmode exception not handled and blue screening my Windows 10 Pro (latest version).

My Question is simple. Why is the module DbxSvc unable to find object or it's property. I'm assuming it's a certificate.

And 3 years later the exact same problem is still going on. I really don't think they actually know how to fix this error.

Yep, started recieving this error recently too ; Dropbox crashes multiple times a day, I don't realize I haven't been uploading and a massive backlog is created. Any fixed it yet?

Sorry to hear this, @watereero. Can you share a few more details with us, like the app version of your Dropbox app and the OS version of your computer?

For the record, this error still exists as of 2024-07. It is genuinely shameful that this has been kept for so long.
