Setup [allegedly] Required

Hello Everyone -

I have been getting emails allegedly from DB, advising things like:
- finish your login
- you have storage space available
- enclosed: your download is waiting
- your Dropbox account features
and several others. One time, I even changed my PW because I was growing suspicious of some of the emails. I didn't recall ever getting so much email from DB - I joined DB I think in 2014.

Today, I got an email advising that some sort of setup is required. The email was from   no-reply @ em-s.dropbox  . com, which according to a thread dated 01-14-2023, is legitimate. But we all know that email addresses can be faked.

What is it that needs setting up? Is it really required? Is the email real?

Thanks in advance for any information or help

  • Hi DM L, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

That is an official domain used for emails from Dropbox, and we sent out these emails you mentioned.

Most likely this email was sent in error to your account.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Thank you Jay.  Good to know the emails are legitimate, even if I received that last one I mentioned, in error.

I appreciate the quick reply and your time.
