How to access my Dropbox account with lost email?

Many years ago I set up a dropbox account as a backup for a small non-profit. The associated email was at comcast. The comcast account was deactivated a few years ago. I know need access to the dropbox account to move another linked computer. When I log in, it sends a verification code to the old email address which is no longer active. I got the account re-enabled at comcast, but their "new" policy on alternate accounts is that they can't do email. So I need to have dropbox stop sending the email verification code to the old address. I have access to the dropbox files via a shared folder, but I don't know if that helps.  Help? Thanks

You can try contacting Support, but without access to the email account you may not be able to gain access to the Dropbox account. You need to maintain an active email address on your account so you can receive password resets and one-time security codes used during sign in.

To contact Support, visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox address, including these forums, and you'll see an option for sign in issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

If you can still access the files, your best option will likely be to download the files to your computer, start a new Dropbox account with a valid email, and then upload the files to the new account.

I am a Dropbox Subscriber through a college student email address. After I graduated college, I lost access to that email address entirely. Now, when I attempt to log into the Dropbox account, it asks me to verify my identity through that email address which I can no longer access. I'm trying to get in touch with Dropbox, but they are saying it is only available for subscribed members - which I am - through an account I cannot access! This is really frustrating because I am paying for an account that I have not accessed in over a year. ANY help is appreciated! Thank you!

Your best option will be to contact the school and try to gain access to the email address again, even if it's temporary just to receive the one-time security code.

Thank you, Rich. It looks like I was able to get a quick response through the support request that said they would help downgrade the account to Basic at least.
