What happens when you unlink a device?
When unlinking devices, weather it be phone or Mac, does it just inform the app its no longer assosiated with your Drobox account, or does it also remove it from the 'Linked Devices' section on the w...

Nice question you got there Jared ( Jared N.)!
When you unlink a device from your account the link breaks so your security page shouldn't show the unlinked devices at all and the app would prompt you to login again.
Hope you'll find this helpful and I remain at your disposal Jared. Let me know if you have any further questions and I'd be happy to follow up!

I have been using Dropbox on my phone for several years. I went to get into Dropbox on the device that has been working and I needed to log in. I logged in and was presented with a message telling me that my basic account could only have three devices, which I knew and had changed when your policy changed. The iPhone was listed as one of the linked devices and since I logged in on the same iPhone it showed that I had too many devices. I could not move past the message so I deleted the iPhone and now when I browse the website on a desktop computer the mobile uploads is now empty?

Sorry to hear about this gharty.
Could you first try clearing your browser's cache, another browser or an incognito window with no browser extensions or plugins running merely to exclude browser related issues?
If you do and still notice the same, can you let me know if you see any deletion events in your Events page at https://www.dropbox.com/events?
Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!

Shows that I added the Mobile Uploads folder when I added the iphone again. Cache cleared and log in using incognito window.

So this seems like a newly created folder gharty. Are you missing files from this folder?
Let me know here please providing more information (in regards to how were/are you uploading the files, if you remember seeing them on our website etc.) and I'll reach out to your Dropbox associated email address so we can look into this and forward it to our Restorations team if needed.
Thanks!

I have been using the mobile uploads and it had years of files. As i mentioned originally the problem started when I tried to use the iOS app that I had been using in the past. It wanted me to log in which I did. But now it was showing that log in as a new mobile device. I had three devices under this account, including the iPhone. The history does not show and files being deleted just that a Mobile Uploads folder was created. IT WAS THERE BEFORE WITH THE NOW MISSING FILES!!
