Unable to connect to Dropbox through proxy: backslash not allowed in username settings

Dear Dropbox Team,

My colleagues and I are experiencing an issue with accessing Dropbox via a proxy. Specifically, we can no longer include a backslash in our username. It appears that this character is suddenly no longer accepted as valid in the Dropbox settings.

We have attempted to overcome this limitation by using "/", "%5C", and by omitting the domain, but none of these options have worked.

Could you please let us know if there is a way to bypass this sudden limitation and successfully connect to our Dropbox folder again?

Thank you for your assistance.

First, just to be clear, you mentioned a backslash but what you have there is a forward slash. I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

If you're entering a full username in a domain\username format, you would typically use a backslash "\". In some applications, if that doesn't work, you can also also specify the full username as username@domain instead. I don't know if that will work in the Dropbox proxy settings, or if you're authenticating off of a Windows domain, but I'd try it.

Thanks for your help and suggestions. I meant that it is no longer possible to type a backslash (\) in the username field of the proxy settings in the Windows version (v213.4.4597) of Dropbox. The suggested workaround using "@" seems to work. Thanks a lot!
