cancel activity emails from no longer shared folder

I'm receiving emails relating to a folder I started however I have since tranferred control of the folder to someone else and requested my cancellation from the folder.

I no longer have access to the folder, as required.

How can the activity emails be stopped?

  • Thanks to Dropbox support for their assistance that eventually enabled my identification of another account with the required access having the emails sent to an email that is forwarded to me.

Hi Tiger20, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, are you certain that the folder is no longer on your Dropbox account?

Is it visible on the main page, or the shared folders tab?

This will help me to assist further!

Not visible on either Main or Shared.

On my Desktop - Explorer file the folder is still present (I haven't deleted it), and when selected a lengthy "unavailable" message box is displayed (as expected).

Hi Tiger20, it might be trivial, but what happens if you try to use the searchbar online, to locate the folder?

Do you see any results there? Could you also send me a screenshot of the message you get, when trying to select the folder locally on your device?
