Yes.
You're not cancelling your Essentials benefits. You're cancelling the automatic renewal that would take place at the end of your current billing cycle. When you cancel you'll retain all account benefits until then, and at that point your account would be downgraded to Basic.
Basically, you can cancel now, but you'll still be on Essentials until March 2025. If you want to switch to the Family plan you'd have to wait until then, or reply to the agent in your support ticket and ask if there's a way for them to do it.

Thanks Rich. I sent a message to my Support agent asking just that. I will keep the Community Board aware of the solution just in case this issue pops up for someone else.
