Referals on ipad

Hi, I sent a referral to a user who installed dropbox on his ipad and started using it. However my referral status still shows "waiting for installation" Why is that please? Do my contact need ...

    You're right on this one. 

    The user would need to download and install the desktop app on their device in order for you to get your free referral space.
