I was charged $119.00 but have a free account
I had the trial account but canceled it last month BEFORE the fees accrued. I was just charged 119.00 for a free account. I need that money back asap.

Was this a credit card charge? If so, try looking it up through our payment lookup tool.
Is it giving you the same email address as the one associated with your free account, or perhaps a different one?

To Hannah@ Dropbox Staff. I am desperately trying to contact someone at Dropbox who can help me cancel my Basic subscription before I get billed on 4 Jan. You guys are impossible to contact! All I get are unhelpful on-line instructions or an address to mail in Ireland! I tried your chat-bot which just sent me back to the unhelpful cancellation instructions. Can you help me please? BTW Happy Holidays!

Hey Jerry I 73, sorry to see that you're having trouble.
Basic accounts are free, so there must be something else going on here.
How are you paying? If it's a credit card charge, can you use this page to see which email address the charge is linked to?
That way you can sign in to the correct account to cancel it.
If you're having trouble with cancelling the subscription, though, you can open this link from a private browsing/incognito window.
On that page click on "submit a request" to contact our support team.
