Hey Stgcmtj, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
May I ask how many inches is your tablet exactly?
For Android tablets with screens larger than 10.1", an Office 365 subscription is also required to edit Office files stored in Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Professional accounts.

opps...10.4 inches... Wish I could just buy a single subscriptiion for one tablet... but that is MS
