Rounded gray icon in new macOS file provider

Hi, I'm using the latest version of Dropbox in macOS Ventura 13.5, new mac mini m2, clean dropbox install, i decided to try the new file provider integration and the syncing has ended correctly, there's just one folder with one gray circle at the left of the folder name.

PLEASE Note: this is not a tag, if I add a tag then a second circle is added like this. If I remove the tag it returns to a single gray circle.

I'm not able to find information about the meaning of this circle. Does anyone know if there's something wrong?

Thank you.

  • I just found that an App added a custom tag to that folder, the only way to see it was with right click -> Get Info and it was at the top, i removed that custom tag and the circle is gone.

  • Hi bddrow, hope you're doing well!

Let's see if we can get to the bottom of that symbol you're seeing.

I'll need a little more info — can you send the app version you're running?

Also, a screenshot of your sync status would be great to have.

    Cheers!

      Hi

Thank you, for replying, this is the dropbox version and also the sync status

I just got this new Mac mini m2, I'm in the process of adding all my apps, etc. From what I can tell, this is the only folder with that circle.

      Thank you for your time
