Hey NB141, thanks for flagging these issues with us.
Can you please let us know what plan you're on at the moment and if you had set up the Dropbox Backup feature at some point in the past?
When it comes to the double context menu entries, could you please check your computer's registry for duplicates?
As for the .dbxignore file, does this persist after rebooting your computer and/or quitting and relaunching the app?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

Hi Walter
For info my Windows 11 box is a new clean build Dropbox test VM with nothing else installed apart from Dropbox.
Can you please let us know what plan you're on at the moment and if you had set up the Dropbox Backup feature at some point in the past?
I use a basic plan for testing the beta releases (I have a paid plus account which I would rather not play with). I haven't used this basic account for Dropbox backup, Installed Dropbox Beta and then straight away tried to set up backup, but failed. However, I did have the same issue with my Plus account a few months back but manually redirected the default user folders location to the D:\Dropbox folder.
When it comes to the double context menu entries, could you please check your computer's registry for duplicates?
None that I can see ....
As for the .dbxignore file, does this persist after rebooting your computer and/or quitting and relaunching the app?
Still visible after a reboot or relaunch.

Hi NB141, could you try to temporarily downgrade from the beta version, in order to check if that's causing the issue?
You can do this by accessing your account settings on the Dropbox website and then turning Early releases off. After that, feel free to re-install the app, and let me know how it goes.
Keep in mind that the fact that you're using a VM could also be the culprit here.

Hi Megan
I deleted all the DBXIGNORE files and uninstalled the Dropbox Beta 183.3.6853. Reinstalled the latest Dropbox version 182.4.6427.
DBXIGNORE files have now gone.
Backup failure because the WinPC hasn't got Dropbox installed in the C:\ partition is still there.
Duplicate context menus still exist ( double checked my DB plus account which is installed on a non vm PC and it also has duplicated context menus under the "Show More Options")
Also when installing 182.4.6427 and selecting a different location for the Dropbox folder the "Advance Settings" box opens and covers the possible drive locations. They need to be reversed with the drive list box on top ...
