I finally figured out that the brand new computer was shipped in "S" Mode. Once I took it out of that, Dropbox installed just fine. Thank you for your help!

Then you should be able to install the regular application. Make sure you're downloading it from Dropbox, and not through the Microsoft Store, which only offers the Lite version.

I just received a new replacement HP with AMD processor running on Win11 Pro. After reading how to articles and watching several videos, I cannot find whether or not I am running S mode. System info only shows running 11 Pro and other info is "not available" I cannot install my DropBox desktop app to sync with my account. What I get installed is a 2 GB starter version for new users! Please advise.

Hey @drdavelv, thanks for the nudge here.
To see if you have installed the Dropbox desktop app, look for a small Dropbox icon in your system tray, at the bottom right of your screen, by your clock.
What I get installed is a 2 GB starter version for new users!
What you're seeing here, means that you've signed in to the app with a Dropbox Basic free account; the app is the same for all types of accounts, but it's up to you which account you sign in to.
If you have the Dropbox icon I mentioned above, click on it, then click on your initials/profile pic, then on 'preferences' and then on 'account'.
You should see the email address of the linked account; is it the one you mainly use?
