dropbox on more than one Mac
I have dropbox on my macpro, but I would like to have the same version on my Imac as well. How do I do this?

Just install the Dropbox application and sign in with the same account you use on your Mac Pro.

I downloaded the app, and it asked for a fresh 19.95 and 9.99 permonth. Seemed odd and I think I set up and brandnew dropbox. That is why I cannot log in to dropbox from my Imac. The license in fine on my new macbook pro, but my music files which are huge are on the imac, so I need to see if I can share the same contents accross the two macs

Hey tomoc_99! Just to clarify, did you attempt to log in to your desktop app with the credentials of your old Dropbox account and you were asked to upgrade it? Did you use a different email address perhaps and created a new Dropbox account, like you also suggest? Are you signed in with a paid subscription on your other device?
Can you send over a screenshot of the upgrade prompt you're seeing, so that I can take a look?

holy moly; while I was typing an answer the Imac found my dropbox account. guess I don't need the dropbox app; It looks like it can see my account. I need to test to see that I can actually add files to the dropbox from the imac . thanks for checking in
