Thanks very much for your reply. Sorry if this is a dumb question but can I just confirm that this will only reset the App on the particular device I’m using and won’t affect the content files or other people accessing them etc. Thanks

Hi, So I've completed the advanced reinstall and Dropbox still won't open. I've also checked that the permissions are still checked. Do you have any other ideas? I'm on MacBook Pro running Big Sur 11.6.4 Thanks, Fran29

If so and you have more than 3 devices connected to your account, you might be hitting your account's device limit.
In that case, you could remove any devices you don't want to use from your account's security page and try to install the desktop app anew.
If that's not the case though, please let me know and I'll reach out via email to investigate further.
