Reverting back to free plan after a year
If i revert back to free plan after paying for PLUS, do I loose all my original extra space (~9 GB) that I had for free and just get the 2GB?
Hey chryssa33, sorry to jump in and thanks for the clarifications there.
I just wanted to mention that the promotional space you've gained so far is permanent and you won't lose it after upgrading and/or downgrading your account.
Only specific promotions from several OEMs are for a fixed period of time.
I hope this helps!

Thanks for posting on the forum, chryssa33!
If the extra space was originally acquired via referrals, then even after downgrading your Dropbox account, it should still be available.
Just bear in mind that each referral counts for a different amount of space based on your plan. More specifically, referrals on Dropbox Plus provide 1GB of storage, while on the free Basic plan, that would be 500MB instead.
Hope that clarifies things.

Dear Nancy,
Thank you for your reply.
My extra space has not been acquired via referrals. I have a free Dropbox account since 2012 and back then there where other bonuses to get extra space i.e Bonuses for using Camera Uploads, Samsung promotion bonuses etc. These I have still (9GB) and there is no expiration date shown. But since I need more space now and want to upgrade to PLUS, I wonder if I will loose it if in the future I revert back to free. Do you know anything about this?
Thank you,
Chryssa
