Limited space warnig although plenty of GB left

Hi 2u all! ðŸ¤—

Why do I get emails (and popup messages when accesing Dropbox through my browser) telling me "There's limited space available in your Dropbox", "Your files are about to stop syncing", "Here's access to up to up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space." and so on, if I have just 16,51 GB used of 20,25 GB available?

Emails look like this:

And my account has still unused space (plenty for my needs)

The image to proove it:

I mention I have the free 2GB plan, but increased my Dropbox sise to todays 20.25 GB trough multiple referral during the years I use it.

Should I simply ignore them?... ðŸ™„

  • Hey IuliuCV, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!

From the looks of it, this seems like a legit email notification from Dropbox.

If you ensured that it's coming from an official Dropbox domain, I'd say it's safe to ignore it or if you don't want to receive such emails, even unsubscribe through the relevant button.

    I hope this helps!

Good ideea ignoring it, but if the limit is indeed reached somewhere in the future, such an email would be usefull.
The mail is legit, coming from no-reply@em-s.dropbox.com
