A user I added to my shared folder gets an error they don't have enough space to access it

Tried to invite 10 people to a folder i created, but one of them wrote:
"I tried from both accounts and it says that Dropbox is almost full and won’t let me access it. But both my accounts are almost full of space. So I don’t know. Maybe in your end?"

I wrote back:

"hmmm 🤔

I just upgraded mine to two TB and only used 9.6 GB of it.

Strange that even though yours might be full, it shouldn't affect this case, cause you and the others are invited into mine, and to upload to mine, to that spesic folder.
I'll ask Dropbox support, cause I remember similar case some years ago.

  • Welcome aboard the forum, aTeLeNORUEGO! Hope you’re doing well.

Keep in mind that, when sharing a folder with someone else, they’ll also need to add it to their Dropbox account, which means that this folder will also take up space from it like the rest of their files.

However, if you just want them to upload files to a specific folder and not affect their Dropbox quota, you can open a file request for them instead.

    Hope this helps!
