Why can’t I see files that my collaborator has added?
I am sharing horn section arrangements with another guy in our band. I’m using Muscore but he is using Finale, but the musicXML format has been working to exchange files. I sent the guy, Gary, the link to share my files in a folder on Dropbox. I’m using Dropbox Plus, sometimes with Linux, sometimes with iOS, sometimes with Windows. I made a sub folder “transfer” to hold my xml files. Gary got my xml files, worked with them in Finale, and says he uploaded a file for me on a new song in musicXML to the transfer folder for me to try. But I can only see my files in the transfer folder. Gary uploaded them again, but I still can’t see them. Is there something Gary needs to do to make them readable for me. Is there something I can do as administrator?

Did you send them using a link? If so links are one way read only. When the other person got the link he can add to his Dropbox by tapping that option, but, he will then need to re-share / send a link back to you for you to receive them.

Can I make the folders read/write as the owner?

Yes but you will need to send him a new invite for that which he will need to accept and add the files in to: www.dropbox.com/share.
