Videos Automatically convert from .mov to .mp4
Does anyone know how to stop Dropbox from converting videos (that are uploaded by me or sent to me ) from .mov to .mp4? It is happening automatically and I do not need them converted.
Thank you...

Hi
It was happening if I or anyone else uploaded from their phone or computer. I tried both as well. I managed to shut it off with the clue given me in the previous response. It seems that when I made the folder, it automatically included a rule to convert any video from .mov to .mp4. Not sure why, I did not set. that up. Maybe it is a default?
Thank you!

Hey kbblack, sorry to hear about this.
This sounds rather strange to be honest. Did you set up an automated folder that's converting your files perhaps?
Do you see any additional information in your events page or the files' version history?
Keep me posted!

Hi,
I simply made a shared folder. Shared it with two people. Whenever I, or they upload a .mov video recorded from their phone or Camera - it converts and makes an mp4 copy and I cannot figure out how to stop it.
I do not know how to set up an Automated folder.

Hi kbblack, sorry to jump in here!
How are you uploading the files? Do you use your mobile app, desktop or browser?
If you're using our mobile app, do you use camera uploads, or manually uploading the content?
