'Something went wrong' error when looking to upload files for Creative brief

I am working with a creative agency that has an online briefing/booking form, as part of that briefing form, there is a dropbox link giving the option to upload any supporting documentation/assets for the brief.

When I click that link however, it simply takes me to a link with a picture of a dog stating 'Something went wrong', no explanation of what. Refreshing the page does nothing.

I am checking in with the creative agency to see if the link in question is working, however I have to assume it is, as it forms part of the booking/briefing system which multiple different people use on a daily basis.
I am on a Windows 10 machine using Microsoft Edge and the issue is not resolved by pasting the link into a Private session, after logging in to my Dropbox account, pasting the URL gives the same error page.

I am using a free, web-based dropbox account.

Thanks

Si

  • Hi @Simon Poulton, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It sounds like you're referring to a file request link, and that there may be an issue with the link that they have provided to you. Either they have reached their daily bandwidth limit, or the file request link to Dropbox was deleted or is incorrect.

They would need to be the ones to resolve this matter with the file request link. As you have already contacted them regarding this, they should be aware of it.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Thanks, I've heard back from the Creative agency and it does indeed seem that there was a problem with the file-sharing link. It has now been corrected and I have access.

      Many thanks

      Si

No problem at all, glad to have helped out.
