Super User IIDid you send them using a link? If so links are one way read only. When the other person got the link he can add to his Dropbox by tapping that option, but, he will then need to re-share / send a link back to you for you to receive them.
Can I make the folders read/write as the owner?

Yes but you will need to send him a new invite for that which he will need to accept and add the files in to: www.dropbox.com/share.

Hi MajorGeek , thanks for reaching out and sorry you're running into this issue!
When sharing the folder, you have two options: you can either invite Gary by adding his email, or share a link to the folder. If you choose to share a link, ensure it's set to "link for editing." This way, Gary and other collaborators can join the folder as editors and add their music files, which you can then see, edit, access, download, and more.
