Files uploaded to a shared folder come with a red circle and an X on them. Why?
I just uploaded a bunch of PDFs to a shared dropbox folder and instead of the green circle with checkmark to the right, they're accompanied by a red circle with an X. Does anyone know what this means...

Found the problem. The author of these files used a\in their name. Replacing the backslash with a hyphen replace's the error flag with an up-to-date flag and they now appear at/home.
Thanks for your help Mark!

The files are not open at present. Closing and then opening the folder produces the same results. The error flagged files are not visible on www.dropbox.com/home.
