OneDrive MS Office Collaboration + Dropbox Backup

I am a huge fan of Dropbox and trust them with my files. I am currently using Dropbox as a real-time backup for my file server and users access these documents over the network.

Some of us users collaborate at the same time on Excel documents using the antiquated Shared Workbook feature.

This collaborative process needs to be replaced with MS Co-Author feature that's built into OneDrive.

I don't trust OneDrive with my files as it is not truly backing up my files in real-time. I believe OneDrive caches file changes in a Temp folder and then uploads whenever it wants to, sometimes never. I have had a number of documents that were manually saved 50 plus times even with the auto-save feature enable, closed out of these files. A day later I ran a Temp file cleanup using a utility. Then later on that day or next day opened my documents and they had reverted to their original state. There was no file change history either that I could revert back to.

On a standalone computer, can I install Dropbox, then install OneDrive inside of that folder.

Then I can share documents from/to the OneDrive account on the Standalone computer to other users and my separate work computer's OneDrive account?

This way I can get the Co-Author feature my team needs, while having Dropbox save true backups of my teams files as they make changes?
