How to fix "Couldn't sync files" on Mac
I have a new folder and one file in the folder, and Dropbox complains "Couldn't sync files." I clicked on the "Fix" option, but I don't see how to fix the problem. The Sync issues page says "Give Dropbox permission to access it."
The folder has mode 755, and the file has mode 644. They are owned by my user and group.
I am running macOS 14.6.1. Dropbox has Full Disk Access and Accessibility. The problem persists after rebooting.
How can I get fix this problem? Thanks.
Hey there hershel - sorry to hear about this.
Can you please send us a screenshot of the app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar?
Did you install the app with admin privileges in the first place?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.
