file changes email notification
Hi there,
I shared a folder with several people. They are not yet a Dropbox customer and do not yet have an account. Can these people be notified by email if a file in this shared folder or folder changes?
Thanks in advance!

No, and even if they did have an account, they would only receive a weekly digest of changes made within the folder, and not a notification each time a file is changed.

Hi Philigi, welcome to our Community!
In order for the people to be able to access the folder, they would need a Dropbox account.
Generally, people can indeed be notified by email for weekly updated in their shared folders.
If they don't want to create a Dropbox account, you can always try sharing a link with them.
They'd be able to access it without one.
I hope this clarifies things. - RichSuper User II
