Dropbox app vs web browser uploading files.

I was looking to clear some Disk space onmy hard drive and used the dropbox app to put a bunch of family photos on dropbox.

WHen I use the web browser moving a set of images can take about 5 minuets as they upload.

however when I use the app they appear almost instantly...

Are those images actually being uploaded and if not where on my hard drive did they get moved to?

Thanks.

Hey there Dedric001, I hope you're well today!

When you mentioned that the files uploaded via the desktop app upload almost instantly, do you see the files appear in your account online almost instantly?

Once you move them into the Dropbox folder, the files will show in the local folder right away, but they will still need to sync online. If they're still syncing they would show a blue sync icon next to them.

    Let me know - thanks!
