Can Access a Shared Folder to Secondary Email

If you login to your account and go to the Shared tab, are you able to add the folder that way?

Hi. Thanks for your help. I verified the email, and it indicated that the email was verified. But when I went back into the email with the link to the shared folder, the popup window appeared that said I did not have access to it because I was signed in under "primary email" account. In addition to switching primary and secondary emails, to see if that makes a difference, I also deleted the secondary email and resubmitted it, reverified it, etc. Still not working...

Just to be certain, the email address they sent it to, was it definitely the exact same spelling as that of the secondary email, and not a slightly different spelling?
Certain inboxes, like Gmail, allow users to enter a dot or a plus to add more words to the email address (for johnsmith it could be john.smith or johnsmith+dropbox), and it would still arrive in the same inbox . However, for Dropbox, this would be a separate account entirely.
If there was an extra dot in the email, it would be seen as another address, and not the secondary email.

The secondary email in dropbox and the email the shared file was sent to are the exact same email addresses
