You can clear the Dropbox app’s cache by opening your mobile app, and going to the Account tab > gear icon on the top right corner. The option to clear the cache is further down the page.
You can reinstall the app just on your iPhone, since the photos should be automatically uploaded from there.

How do I clear the cache?
And do I need to reinstall the desktop app? Or something on my phone?

I reinstalled the iPhone app and cleared the cache on my phone, but still the same problem
And I'm not sure if this was clear, but this message is when I plug my device into my laptop, which is how I always used Camera Uploads. It worked fine until mid-December.
Any ideas?

I also just found this article https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/cache-folder
and cleared the cache from the Desktop app

Thanks for clarifying, jbest101! I’d like you to take an extra step then, and disable - re-enable camera uploads on your desktop app, as well.
If that doesn’t help either, please reinstall the Dropbox app on your computer.
