A shared file gets updated only for the user who edits it and not for the rest of the users

We have used Dropbox for years without any issues.  There are 5 of us who view/edit 3-4 files daily without a problem.

There is one other file that one of us edits, but all 5 have permissions to view/edit.  This one file never updates for anyone except the one guy who edits.

  • I think we figured it out... He was editing a different document than the rest of us had.

    Thank you!

My guess here is that he is editing the file on a folder outside of the share OR Dropbox on his machine isnt running.

Check if he is updating and editing the file that he can then see it at www.dropbox.com/home

If not check Dropbox is running and where he is opening and editing it from - it needs to be in the shared folder 🙂
