My desktop folder got into Dropbox. How can I delete it from Dropbox only?

I don't know how my desktop folder got into Dropbox.  I would like to remove it and keep it just on my desktop. How do I delete it from Dropbox without losing it?  Thank you!

Hi there acandee - sorry to hear about this.

Did you enable the Dropbox Backup feature at some point in the past perhaps?

Could you send us a screenshot of how it looks like on your end so that we can have a visual too?

    Thanks!

...only access Dropbox from my desktop.  Don’t need other access.

...Looks like my computer has been put into Dropbox Backup.  Don’t want that.  How do I unlink?Really appreciate your help.

...If I click on ellipsis next to Desktop and I click Delete, will that still leave Desktop on the Desktop of my Mac?  I would think so but need to be sure!
...I did email screenshots in direct email...not sure how to add them here.
      Thanks!

There should be a camera icon that allows you to attach your screenshots in your reply box acandee

This would help me assist further!
