My account deleted after 10 years with no warning
Hello—
I have used my account since I’m 13 years old , I am currently 28! I log into the app often to reminisce on pictures and files etc.
I was randomly logged out and when I went to log in told me my account didn’t exist. I had to sign up all over again and my account is gone . I tried the recovery steps and nothing.
I need my pictures back ???
pls help

Hey Annakana, sorry to hear about that!
When was the last time you accessed your account before this, and was it a paid account?
Was the account part of a Dropbox team or on an individual plan? If it was a free account and it was left idle for more than a year, it would have been deleted due to inactivity. Unfortunately, once an account has been deleted it's not possible to recover the account or the files that it contained.
Keep me posted.

Hi , it was not a paid/ business account.
I accessed it back in May of this year, there is no way it was inactive for more than 6 months. Should there not have been a warning ?- MarkSuper User II

There are multiple warnings if its due to be deleted over many many months.
Have you checked the email used for the account is identical to the one you initially signed up for? Usually if this happens you arent asked to create a new one - it just auto does it.
