I'm being asked to save a copy of my Excel file instead of the original file on mobile.

I have a spreadsheer in a shared Dropbox folder and I am the only person with editor access to it.

When I open it on my desktop it saves fine, but when I open it on my mobile it tries to save a copy even though it definitley isn't open on my desktop at the tme. I don't want to save a copy. I just want to be able to make changes to the file on my mobile as well as on my desktop, and to save the file - not a copy - on either platform. Is this impossible?

Hey Dave_Rado, thanks for reaching out to us.

Are you using an Android or an iOS device?

Can you let us know exactly what you see when you open the file from the Dropbox mobile app?

A screenshot of the message would be helpful, if you can send us one.

    Cheers.

      Hi @Hannah

      Android. Screenshot here.

That's when I try to save it. When I open it, it just looks like any other spreadsheet.

Would you mind attaching the screenshot to your reply, Dave? For security reasons we can't access the link above, I'm afraid.
