Showcase "you don't have access to this file"
In Showcase i am getting a "you don't have access to this file" message when doing the preview.
- 7 years agoDragging and dropping images directly into the Showcase should work. Could you try testing it out and letting us know?

Adding the images via Drag and Drop instead of choosing from Dropbox files seemed to fix the issue. Dropbox Showcase placed a copy of the image files into the Showcase Uploads folder. Thanks.

Hi there, are you a member of a Dropbox Business team on the Advanced or Enterprise plans, or on Dropbox Professional?
If you’re not on one of these plans, then you won’t be able to access or create a Showcase. If we’re misunderstanding something, please let us know more, including a screenshot with the error if need be!

We are have Dropbox Business team subscription. When sharing with member of our Dropbox members the image are visable. When shared outside the members the image have the error message. Here is a view of the Preview screen:
- Jay7 years agoDropbox StaffThanks for the image, I’ve played about with Showcase a lot so I believe I know the reason for this. While the Showcase is visible, the images (or shared links) themselves are not. Since you’re sharing the images, and you’re viewing it in the Showcase, you can see them. However they’re not showing in the preview due to the permissions of those images.Showcase is essentially like Dropbox Paper, and should automatically create shared links to any image or file within the Showcase. If the file already has a link, it uses the same permissions there. This could mean that those links could be restricted with a password, or to invited people only. You’ll need to check the images in your Dropbox folder and then see what kind of permissions you have with the shared links to see if this is what is causing the issue.Let me know what you find!

So, do you think if I "drag and drop" images so they are duplicated into the Showcase Uploads folder it may work? That was going to be my next attempt to fix the problem. Let me know.
