Trying to preview a file online, and getting message "This link isn't quite right" why?
Hi,
This is happening with just of one of my file, which is quite regularly used. I access my dropbox account from the browser (chrome) and when I try to open one specific file the following me...

I wanted to jump in here since I have the same issue...
I get "This link isn't quite right" error on a single file I access frequently when clicking in chrome directly from dropbox.com/home. All other files seem to work, and the file does come up on my iphone, but hasn't resolved like it apparently did for Giogia in above discussion. I need to be able to update/edit etc. from browser. I'm not sure it was the same error but this happened months ago and did resolve itself before I posted. Please advise why this might be happening to this key file for me. Maybe I should copy / recreate it? (assuming it comes back)

Hey preitmeyer, let's jump right into this!
Do you have this file saved in your Dropbox account, or do you access a shared link? If so, then duplicating might not be a bad idea.
I'd also suggest that you try a different browser, if you ever see the same error again, just to exclude this being a browser-specific issue.
Let me know more!

Thx Megan . BTW I thought I posted this 3 days ago but it threw an error and I was busy, but at least it saved it for me!
OK so I'm on chrome and I get the error. I tried Safari and it worked (my file came up), so I cleared cache on chrome and it still doesn't work. I only use chrome so...
And again I'm clicking directly from dropbox/home, not any other shared etc. link (it's my file), and it's in the home directory not a folder. It is shared with one other person but I'm clicking the file not a link. It shows in my "suggested from activity list"... it's now first since I accessed it in Safari I guess, and as a recently modified file.
So what's wrong with the chrome file/link from dropbox home that I can fix since safari works from dropbox/home?

Hi preitmeyer, can you try to restore your browser to its default settings and disable any browser plugins there?
Have you also made sure that you're using the latest update for your Chrome browser?

Hello again you can mark this resolved etc. as I decided to try to copy the file on Firefox to another folder and try from Chrome... not only did it work but it reset the file to work from dropbox/home on chrome... as in I didn't even have to move it from the subfolder I copied to on Firefox. Go figure.
BTW yes I've been on the latest chrome update for all of this so far, and no I didn't and wouldn't want to reset chrome to default settings and stop plugins.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help getting to this point of trying something else that happened to work.
