1308 TopicsI installed the Dropbox app on Windows 11, but it keeps freezing.
Just installed windows 11 24h2 in my computer and finished all the updates. Proceeded to install dropbox and the installation flows fine but right after setting up the account and selecting the folders to sync the programs stalls. Tried uninstalling, restarting the computer, clearing cache, clearing the register, installing again and the same. Have tried to not change the folders to download, have tried having only online and also in the laptop and it all fails. After a while, in some cases, the app restarts itself and asks me to sign in again and then it's the same issue all over again.17Views0likes1Comment"1 file is unable to sync" error on sync status but "See Issues" option shows nothing.
Hi everyone, I could use some help on this Dropbox pushed out an update to our user environment and it broke our integration and we are slowly starting to fix it. I have a user that has a file that will not sync. When i click the option to see what file is not syncing, it is blank. I cannot locate this file anywhere. I stopped the sync for an hour to let indexing catch up and restarted the sync. No luck We also uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox (completely removing the folders and profile from before) ran chkdsk Signed out, rebooted and signed back in verified there is no firewall or antivirus restrictions Stopped and restarted the dropbox services we are on version 199.4.62871.4KViews1like8CommentsOnline-only not working in Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon version)
Recently I went back to Dropbox having read that it now works with Snapdragon Windows versions, but currently I have a significant issue. I cannot have any online-only file in my SP11, thus I cannot have all Dropbox files in my device. I have this in the main DP screen: Then I go to "Manage hard disk space", select folders and make online-only. In less than a second I get the message they are online-only, but they aren't. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks in advance.512Views2likes21CommentsSupport online-only files for ARM (Snapdragon) processors
We are currently unable to use Dropbox on Windows Surface Pro Devices with Snapdragon Processors as they do not allow for Online-Only files. This causes the entirety of their files to sync to the device and renders the device unusable as all disk space is consumed.42Views2likes2CommentsI can't paste the screenshots I capture on Windows
For some reason I cannot pate the screenshots after I press "Print Screen". I have dropbox on my pc set to copy link when image is ready and then there is a pop up on the bottom right when I take a picture and it says "press ctrl+v to copy" BUT IT DOESN'T work at all!509Views0likes45CommentsOpen dropbox file/folder links open on desktop
Hi there. Love Dropbox. I moved our whole team to it from Google Drive much to all of our delight. The one hiccup that keeps coming up (was also an issue with Drive, but would be a game changing new feature from DB) is sharing links. Our team uses the desktop app to work with files directly in finder, but we share links to files and folders on slack and in email, etc... Right now we click a link, it opens the browser as expected, we find the file path in browser and then follow that path in finder. That seems like an awful lot of work when we have a direct connection between our finder and dropbox in the app. Perhaps the website could provide a link that connects to the desktop app, opening the folder/file in finder or windows explorer. Seems like a reasonable option to me, but what do others think?18Views0likes1CommentFile previews not visible in preview pane on Windows when using Dropbox.
File previews have stopped working for me in the preview pane (using Windows 10). This issue only persists with files in my Dropbox folder, and it affects all kinds of different file types, including JPGs, PNGs, MP4s, Cinema 4D files, etc. If I uninstall Dropbox, the file previews work correctly again. Then once I reinstall Dropbox, the issue returns. I am not using "online only" mode - all files are stored locally on my hard drive. I don't understand why this is happening, and it's quite annoying. Does anyone have any solution for this?43Views0likes2CommentsThere are too many context menu entries, how can I delete some of them on Windows?
When right clicking a file/folder, there are just too many Context Menu entries which is slowing down the appearance of the menu itself. Could anyone suggest how can I delete/remove some or all of the Dropbox content menu entries in Windows?22Views0likes1CommentEcran bleu sous Windows 11

I have two desktop computers: 1) 500GB Windows 11 SSD w/ 12% storage remaining, and 2) 1TB Windows 10 SSD w/ 33% storage remaining. Two years ago I disabled Dropbox from the 500GB computer after a first attempt to use Dropbox: it duplicated my files and threw them back onto the hard drive, leaving me with just 7GB on it (somehow I was able to get 50GB back, can't remember how). This year I decided to give Dropbox another try, I read and read and read every Dropbox instructions I could, set my 1TB computer to Cloud Only, and am OK with that machine. Now if I re-enable Dropbox on my 500GB computer, setting it to Cloud Only, can I be confident files won't be plugging up the hard drive again? And assuming I can share/link files between the two computers, how do I do that? And are there dangers of plugging things up again if I do?Solved70Views0likes5Comments
