Lost my account and files
I was trying to log in yesterday through mobile app but I was directed to sign up. I tried reseting my password instead. After successfully resetting my password, it turned out to be a new account with welcome message and product tour. All my information details, profile photo are gone and plans was back into 2gb storage and all my stored files was gone. Empty account! I didn't receive any email notification from Dropbox prior this incident.
Shared Folder went missing
Dear all, Today is discovered that a shared folder I was using togehter with my wife vanished. Looking through the event page, I see an entry for November 18th,sataing "You have removedyour own access to the folder". Now, for my wife, I find the same message, even hough she is the owner of that folder. Nothing is shown in my deleted files section in the dropbox web app either. How can I get our files back?? I need help recovering my deleted files
Trying to access some old files I deleted from my DropBox. Here's what I'm up against. I had a warning on my account that I exceeded my limit, because of a large share of projects files. I took a couple days to save and download my important files and then deleted them from my DropBox, hoping to save on space. Unfortunately, the amount of shared media killed my ability to sync so I stopped paying for the subscription. Now I am getting warnings..."Couldn't sync files. That's because you're using 8,755% storage. Resubscribe for up to 3 TB storage". I am sharing over 328 GB of file with a 2TB limit. I have lost all of the files I had saved for years, and was trying to get back into my DropBox account to download again. I can see the history of the files I deleted but no access. Are they still available for me to access once I subscribe again? Would love to recover the important docs I have been saving on the DropBox. Help if you can.
I seem to be missing some of my files; how can I recover them?
I had files in my Dropbox account with calendar plans for upcoming years. They were titled 2025 Travel Calendar, 2026 Travel Calendar, etc. But these seem to have been lost. I did not delete them. How can I recover these important Word documents?New Computer - all Word Docs Corrupt
I have set up a new computer. Downloaded the Dropbox desktop app, same as previous computer. I am running Office365. Now all Word documents that are stored in DP are showing corrupted. I can login to DP directly and open the document but when I try to open through my DP shortcut on file explorer. Word docs will not open directly. The solution has been to open the document from DP and then re-save it on the computer in DP. So I still have access to the docs but it's very inconvenient. Is there a solution that would allow my documents to all update at once and be available again from the file explorer shortcut?
Missing updates on a file I've been editing
Hi all! I copied a file from one folder in Dropbox to another folder still in Dropbox on nov. 8th. I modified and saved that certain file several times since nov. 8th until today (I last accessed it on thursday nov. 14th). Yesterday evening I tried to access it again and I found it in the same initial version, more exactly the one on nov. 8th. I searched in the previous sessions in my PC and also here online, but it's like my modifications never even existed. Below please find a pic of the activity on the file. How do you think I could get back the most current verision (the one on thursday nov. 14th would be the last one). I am currently using a package for 5 members. Currently, one of our members has a virus on his computer, so all the files in a folder were deleted, which we forgot to restore more than 2 months ago. Is there any way for us to restore it on the system? Again, thank you to anyone who offers some assistance.
