I keep getting emails and notifications claiming that I've reached my 2gb storage limit. Upon checking the contents of my dropbox account, the files total up to just over 3mb. So, Dropbox, what the hell kind of scam are you running here?800Views0likes5CommentsMy earned free space for some referrals was not credited
Hello Everyone, I frequently invite friends and family to join Dropbox, and as a Computer expert, I personally spent time ensuring their invitations were accepted hence i accepted the invitations myself. I also installed the Dropbox desktop app and mobile apps for document scanning (I'm an avid Dropbox advocate for document management and always shared with people how dropbox helped me). However, when reviewing the status of my referrals, the information appears incorrect as the invitation were accepted and desktop apps installed, all by myself. This issue has been ongoing for years, and though I’ve overlooked it in the past, I now feel compelled to address it and pray my referral space be credited as earned. Could you please assist in resolving this matter? I hope Dropbox credits me the space for these people i invited and managed the installations myself hence i was very sure the invitations were accepted. i 28/12/2021 s 31/8/2023 o 3/9/2023 k 19/9/2024 I invited these people and personally and assist them accepted the invitations myself, installed and set up their dropbox accounts and teach them how to use Dropbox to scan documents but the displayed status are not corresponding and no space of 500MB each were given to me. Please can you help me? Ofcourse there are other invitation where my 500MB were credited, these are not part of this complain 🙂 Thank you in advance for your time and support. Everyday I get this (see screenshot) onMac Os when connecting any device to sync photos."Not enough dropbox space" - Mac - But I have PLENTY of space.. and I see it on both of my macs but not my iphone (which indicates to me a poorly written client on mac). Resolution: sign out and sign in again.. but that means setting up my profile again each time, choosing locations, and closing badges, and so on and so on - and this take a lot of time.. What's the real fix or workaround here? And why haven't dropbox fixed it. Why on earth would I buy an upgraded plan when something as simple as this fails to function correctly.. Other tests I've tried: complete uninstall / reinstall.Solved7.5KViews1like56CommentsHow can I leave a shared folder to free up space?

I keep getting an email every few days telling me I'm out of space and syncing has stoped, but I'm not, and it hasn't. Dropbox works as normal, but I keep getting the e-mails. What gives? Screenshot of space remaining in my profile: Screenshot of e-mail: The e-mail is genuine and not, like I first thought given I know I'm not out of storage, a scam. Links go to the proper dropbox domain etc. What gives? Thanks, Ben.642Views0likes11CommentsIssues with shared folder access and quota usage on Dropbox Basic plan
Hello, I’m currently on Dropbox Basic (Free) with a total of 8.5 GB of storage. I use Dropbox primarily for my business and recently set up a shared folder specifically for our social media manager, who has edit access. Her role involves uploading, downloading, and managing digital content for our marketing efforts, and I gave her Can Edit permissions, expecting that she could fully collaborate within this folder without needing her own storage space. However, we’re encountering issues. She’s been getting messages suggesting that she needs to upgrade her account to access the folder fully. Initially, she received an error stating that “access through the links requires an upgrade.” She temporarily upgraded to a 30-day free trial, which resolved the access issue, but ideally, we’d like to keep both our accounts on the Basic plan. My understanding was that as long as I have enough space on my account, any content shared within this folder would be covered by my storage capacity, not requiring her to have additional storage on her end. Questions: 1.Is there a way to allow her to upload, download, and edit files without her needing additional storage or an upgraded account? 2.Are there specific sharing settings I should adjust so she can manage files within my storage limits? 3.Would sharing a link instead of an “invite to edit” resolve these storage-related prompts, or does it limit collaboration capabilities? Thank you for any insights on how I might be able to set this up efficiently on a Dropbox Basic plan!
Quelle opération je dois faire pour actualiser le volume utilisé?77Views0likes2CommentsCan't add any more files to a shared folder as my quota is full, why?
I have a free account - somehow it claims I have more than 3 GB of files. Another user has shared a folder of theirs. They have a pro plan with 2 TB of space. Somehow I get the message that I have used up my space and cannot add any more to the Shared Folder of the paid account. Please advise! We are in the middle of a project right now and need to share these files! Help!245Views0likes5Comments
